HELENWOOD, Tenn. — The Scott County Chamber of Commerce welcomes JDS Technologies, Inc. as its newest member, executive director Stacey Kidd announced Wednesday.
The Oneida company manufactures engineered rubber products in its plant in the Airport Industrial Park.
JDS Technologies has also provided two scholarships for the Chamber of Commerce's Business Boot Camp, which enables seniors from Oneida High School and Scott High School to be trained in a leadership setting.
"We are truly honored to have one of the fastest-growing companies in Scott County support the Chamber and the youth of Scott County," Ms. Kidd said.
JDS Technologies started operating in a 6,500 sq. ft. facility in Lewis Center, Oh., before moving to Oneida and opening its 15,000 sq. ft. facility in 2004. In 2006, the company expanded into custom mixing by acquiring Paragon Custom Mixing in Carencro, La.
Today, JDS Technologies is one of North America's largest manufacturers of rubber tie-down straps.
Scott County Chamber of Commerce President Wayne King and Vice President Melvin Stephens joined Ms. Kidd in welcoming JDS to the Chamber of Commerce.
